Studies have shown that students have a more positive experience, both academically and socially, when parents are involved in their education.  Bishop Hayes fully embraces this concept and encourages and anticipates parental involvement.  Parents are encouraged to contact the principal or their child’s teacher to volunteer.  Please note that anyone who wishes to volunteer directly with the children more than four times during the year is mandated to take the “Protecting God’s Children” class offered by the parish.

Home and School Association
The Home and School Association consists of all parents in the school, the faculty and principal. Home and School meets periodically throughout the year. All are welcome to attend. Home and School fundraisers include Innisbrook sales, Box Tops & Soup Labels, a raffle in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week, the Hayes Hustle and the Hayes Ball.

Catholic Board of Education
The Board holds open meetings on the 4th Monday of each month at Bishop Hayes Catholic School at 7pm.  Anyone wishing to have an item on the agenda may do so by contacting a board member.

Technology Committee
The Technology Committee includes teachers, staff, parents and parish members.  This committee maintains and expands the schools technology capabilities by identifying needs, reviewing alternatives and installing appropriate systems and software.

SCRIP Committee
The SCRIP Committee organizes and maintains the parish SCRIP program year-round. Money earned through SCRIP benefits the general funding of the school.

Other opportunities include:
Health Screening ~ Help with vision screening, weight and height measurements.
Library ~ Help shelf books.
Picture Day ~ Escort classes to and from photographer.
